Since actors started complaining last week, developers have pointed out that they have the same problem. Welcome to the game industry, you Hollywood millionaires! It’s easy for them to strike because it’s not their primary income. What happens if they strike? Well, considering the publishers’ view on the importance of Hollywood actors in games these days, they’ll probably end up negotiating a higher return for their work.

Poor, already under-paid, under-appreciated developers will continue as they just make a modest living and get to endure poor working conditions.

Hollywood is jealous of the game industry’s revenue, even though they’re much bigger and much more established. Screen Actor’s Guild vs IGDA. Guess which one would win, especially with the IGDA trying to deal with the myriad of other problems they face in a still maturing industry.
